I have been reading "Making Collagraph Prints" by Suzie Mackenzie and got inspired to try out "A la poupée" technique with a collagraph (you can also do it with other plates, like a drypoint).
"A la poupée" technique implies applying several colors to one plate and wipping in a way as to preserve the colors relatively unmixed (or without them bleeding into each other). This can be done by either applying the inks one by one or applying all of them and then wipping as carefully as possible (so the inks don't mix).
I went for the second option, because it is the first time I was trying this and I wanted to see how much careful I could be with wipping the colors.
I made a small edition of 5 in Fabriano Unica paper (counting with the first test print) and using Caligo Safe-Wash inks and Extender.
Thanks for stopping by!
