I have been doing a bunch of artist trading cards lately. I find them fun, quick to make and a good way of experimenting new techniques/ideas.
Some of them come out great, some not so much, and I can always use them to exchange with other artists, which is great. I have been doing that on the "ATCs for all" site.
These ones below were done in scraperboard (or scratchboard) by Essdee and then colored with light wash of watercolor. I really like how they turned out, these are probably my favorite ATC that I have produced.
The ATC below are done in one of my favorite media, watercolor or watercolor and pen, and I also like how these turned out.
In the ones below I mixed watercolor and pen with some collage as well, still a bit unsure how I feel about this, but I am glad I tried the technique.
And then there are some that just don't go so well, the artist trading cards below were done with varied media - from left to right: watercolor and color pencils, color pencils and pen, and watercolor and a golden pen.
I'll probably share some more of these in the future, since making them is so satisfying.
Thanks for stopping by!
