Reduction Linocut - Koi Fish

I took a sketch from my sketchbook and worked on adapting it to print as a color linocut.

I separated the layers into two lino plates - one for the blue layer and another one for the orange/black layer. So only the second one is a reduction print I guess.

I really like how the colors came out, but unfortunately I still need to perfect my registration method. This experiment went better than other ones I have done before (as in multi-color linocut prints), but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

I made 8 copies in one go, but only 3 came out somewhat decent. Here the final print:
